1949 Wilhelm and Gertrud Meyer zu Venne begin wafer baking in the former corn shack of the Meyerhofes in the center of the Venne village

1956 Steady growth requires new production factory at the outskirts of Venne.

1968 The production for icecream factories beings on the first fully automated baking systems.

1980 Wilhelm and Birgit Meyer zu Venne become Managing Directors.

1993 Waffel-Meyer has become the biggest ice cone producer in Europe and incorporates Grodcono, today the market leader in Poland.

2001 With the incorporation of Maschinenbau Sprematec, Waffel-Meyer acquires the technological capacity to protect its operations against third parties, and to build baking machinery of formerly unknown precision and reliability.

2003 Begin of the worldwide export of sugar wafers with quality products produced on the own baking systems.

2004 Today, we are producing in 3 different countries where we are market leader on a total of 25,000 square meters production area. With joint venture partners from ICG, we can offer our baking know how all over the world to our target groups.
